thursday musing

Ha, thought you were rid of me!

Well I'm back and I thought I might just share a few things on my mind today.
The day started, reading, breakfast, devos with the family and school. At three o'clock Gladys(sister) and I headed off to the gym to get our sweat on.She and I were just walking and watching TV.She was taking a lot of breaks, but I just guessed she was tired or something. It wasn't until the ride home, our mom asked how our workout was. She said she had thrown up three times.

WHAT!?

Take in mind that I was driving and we all know it's not good to overreact in any way when driving.

I thought to myself," How could I not notice my own sister was in pain, yeah, she said it hurt to run, but, I didn't think it was THAT bad".And after her horrible workout,I went and got supper and ate it RIGHT in front of her.I don't know about you,but whenever I throw up,I can't stand the sight or smell of food.

There are two things that go through my head.

I should have noticed and asked if she wanted to go home

 ....or...

It really wasn't that bad and just was upset that she didn't tell me.

Whatever the case, shes now watching some bbal game and probably feeling fine.Thats all that really matters anyway.

The three W's of today

  • What I listened to: Broadway baby!

  • What I ate: Homemade sweet an' sour chicken, made by yours truly.

  • What I wore:

Shirt:my dads old sunday dress shirt~jeans:Billabong in South Africa~scarf:china town in new york city.

Thanks for reading and have an awesome day :)

First post....oh boy...

Thought it might be fun to do this, tell me what ya think.

The three W's of today

What I listened to:Alternative and hardcore...and country...I am ashamed.
What I ate today: A quesadilla from a little cafe in my town.
What wore today: sweats and a t-shirt.Lame, I know.I'll have a more 'interesting' outfit later in the week.

Today I planned on being home alone tonight since the rest of the family was going to my sisters bball game.Well, the team they planned on playing canceled due to the fact that it was -10 degrees F outside.Oh the joys of living in Minnesota.

Ok,back to the point here.

Sometimes things change. It's one of the unavoidable facts of life.Whether it's something small like my example above or a loved one leaves.Whatever it is, don't let yourself overreact or under-react.

Now here are somethings that I looked at today and thought "We used to be so close...whatever happened to us?"

My sisters old guitar.Whether it be rock'a'roll or classical, give me music!

and...

sorry for the poor quality photo.I had to snap something quick.

P.S.
I heard a elder man say today and I quote..

"My grandpa always told not to tell other people my problems 'cause half don't care and the other half are probably glad it happened."

Easily made my day.

So long,
Rachel
